Coming to terms with the maharishi.
When someone famnous dies, than normally, first, there are the followers. Saying, how big and great he was. |

1. First let me tell you, that I`m a TM-teacher since 1974. And I still like the teaching of the maharishi. I quit his movement in the late-80s. But still like his teachings, and benefit a lot from them all. But I have also learned to think on my own, and like to de-construct thought-patterns, that seem confusing. The political rant. I was wondering about the ever-going political rant of the maharishi. It started in the mid-70s, and was endless. And stayed till the end. One good example is here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FairfieldLife/message/170328 It`s all laid out perfect, and shows maharishi, the teacher, at his best. Everyone would nod his head several times. But where is the flaw ? Ever thought why someone always rants about politics ? In my emotional clearing (EmC), this is very easy. You have unsolved issues with your own father inside. Father was the first real authority. And everything, that is not solved inside, comes out. And is than projected onto society. The government. Authority. Come on. Would you ever like to live in a maharishi-organized society ? For how long ? Do you really think, that he can organize political, social events better ? I always felt, that his organization was cruel, and misbehaved against the individual intelligence. In Germany, his organisation was the meeting point of all those, that still had fashistoid tendencies not solved inside. And now, with the unfailing master, they could spill it all out onto the innocent meditators. Learn to look into these things, you will be amazed. And maybe freed from wrong political rants. |

2. There was always this opinion, that mass groups would have an effect on society. Even on the whole world. Ya, when I was near, but outside such meditating groups, I always could feel and sense that. It was beautiful. And I would wish the maharishi every luck, to get any numbers into his groups. But why did he fail in this ? His most ambitious thought and project. Not even 7.000 people assemble regularly. And I was on the very first 7.000 group, back there at the MIU. When we look at all TM-groups that exist, we easily see, that they don`t spill over into society. People feel strange seeing and meeting us. There is a great, great gap. Normally, groups have power and the ability to expand and win the whole world. The Beatles did that. In Germany, we had a similar thing. Some freaks in Berlin wanted to dance to their music in the streets. They called it political demonstration. The police was blocking the main roads for them for one saturday, and they started with one old VW-bus, some loud speakers, and 12-15 freaks dancing to that noise. Every year, they assembled again, and got bigger and bigger numbers. They where 150, than 650, and than the numbers exploded. At the end, they had 1.5 million people dancing in the streets of Berlin. It was called Love Parade. And it was shown live on TV for 8 hours without any break. Even in Japan. The politicians where shocked. They didn`t understand it. Young people met, danced, and where completely happy and peaceful, without anyone organizing it. Everyone knew. You HAD to be there, on that special Saturday. This is called synergy. You do, what you like most, attract more friends, and it runs like wild. Now re-think, what was missing in the TM-groups, that they never reached out. |
|||
3. In germany, we had the idea of city paliaments. Every TM-center would build such a structure. And once a year, all would assemble. It was 1000 people meeting at the capital, than Bonn. And the very first group decision was: Cut the money, which goes to the maharishi, in half ! Bold idea. Everyone supported it. It would give the group the means to do it on their own. Reach out and win the nation. But the maharishi with his Nandk. killed this group, never assembled again. So what was he promoting originally ? Meet, but don`t bring your brain ? If you don`t like groups and its transforming powers, if you are afraid of any outcome, maybe go back to single, individual meditation. I tried to sue the movement, since they where breaking some fundamental laws of the charta. I asked one lawyer to help me. But he asked me, why I needed an organization for meditation. That was it. I quit it ! |
|||
4. So why where there all these projected ideas, but never finished ? Yes, the master can kill it any time. Sure. Could give his students a lot to think about their own deficits. But wait a minute. Planning is his shadow in his personality. If you run into that, you will for sure loose your own identidy, your very own idea, for which you came here on planet earth. Big goals can make you bold, impossible goals can make you hopeless. One aspect of this dilemma is the indian trait: Don`t loose your face. It`s also in China, and all over asia. Don`t loose your face. Never ever give in to admit, that you where wrong. Made a mistake. So whenever the overall planning of projects showed in reality, that the outcome wouldn`t even be near the glorious idea, the maharishi cut it immediately. And jumped onto the next grandios idea. I was happy, never buying into any one of them. So I never lost time and money. Only got happiness and higher consciousness. |
|||
5. So you really could go swimming in the ocean of love and happiness, and still drown in it. Remember Doug Henning ? He was the biggest thing in show bizz. And than jumped into the maharishi, to proof, that that was real magic. And drowned. Never really got anything substantial out of it. He wanted to bring out a VedaLand theme park. All greatly planned. And so much time and money invested. Also partly worked on. But never finished. Never accomplished. First I thought. Ya, maybe the idea was too big, to expensive. But than I got hold of another guy, doing the same, and getting it done: Erich von Daeniken, the guy who wanted to proove, that extraterrestials where building the big cultures, got his theme park planned and finished and financed. It`s Mystery park, and has more than 1 million visitors.... So why not the maharishi ? He must have a very big, basic problem hidden inside . Definitely. So look back at point one: If you rant too much against the existing structures, you still have unsolved issues inside. And that will hinder you accomplishing your ideas and goals. Simple. Go inside. Get clear. Come out brilliant. Win the world. |

6. Making others copy the way the maharishi was thinking and planning was the next big thing. I was in Vlodrop, as a journalist. In 2005. We had to see a video. Ladies University planned. And the ladies, all several months happiness, where radiating. And talking shit. They even tried to copy the maharishi hand-gestures. And talking endlessly, that the basis of thoughts would be the basis of natural law. Hm. If you really know about the human psyche, you would know, that if you travel through thought-land, the next thing to hit is emotions. At the other end of thoughts is your emotional liveliness. And that has completely different rules and laws. You don`t get them out by using your mantra like a tennis racket. And you can`t subdue them long enough, unless you will explode into psychosis or something similar. That`s the big riddle in all TMers. Unwanted emotional reactions. They result from far back. The big ones even from former incarnations. You never get rid of them. You have cultivated them. Invested a lot intelligence to make them exist. Going against them is loosing a big part of your own inner intelligence and power. Understanding and solving them opens your understanding about your past incarnations. Sure to arrive at that, which most TMers where always curious about. But endless speculating over it never did it. So whenever we would talk about a Ladies University, I would at least assume knowledge and responsibility about emotions. And than all those themes, which ladies are made of: mental birth preparation, breast feeding, raising happy children, solving emotional conflicts. |

7. Bringing out Rajas, at the end of the one Yuga, and the beginning of the next. Symbolllically great. Nothing wrong. Raja would translate into: Doing right. And new leaders for the world are defintely needed. Germany had an american as a raja in 2005. Maybe maharishi wanted to show the germans, that they are still occupied by the US. Foreign intruders. Not our friends really. Now its the Emanuel. He is a very philosophical and funny guy. I like him. Would him consider my friend. He can be hilarious and funny. When asking him, how I could get that scientist Brian Josephson, who resides as a Prof. for physics and nobel-laureat in Cambridge, near London, to one of my scientific meetings in germany,he paused for a while, and than said only one word: Tunnel-effect. I always would meet him, but also would make jokes about his fatness and obvious health problems. But still he is a great guy to think and have fun with. I would help him assemble some 4-5 billion Euros and than come out great for all rich people as the raja of germany. Berlin would love such hype. But still I would poke him endlessly, as friends do. Eating to much, and becoming fat and unhealthy is a sure sign: You eat too much. And you want to surpress emotions and frustration with that. Not very consicous for a future leader. If you want to win the public, you should be fit and radiating health and happiness. Long way to go still for the rajas. But beware: Rajas have a secret agenda. As always in the TM. Purushas had this: Don`t talk to women. So Rajas will have secret instructions, that they are to keep secret, to make it functioning. So they want you in their play, money scheme and all. But NEVER to play or decide on your side. NEVER. The catholic church has something similiar. The priest is all for the idea of Jesus. The Bishop is already asked to not follow his emotions and own intuition. And the cardinal is pledged into "only following the Pope". Thereby, the main guys in Rome take care of a whole world. So the Rajas are also sworn into something secret. But they never will tell you. With a little de-constructing, you easily could point it out. |

8. I also interviewed John Hagelin. As a scientist. He was happy, radiating, nice to talk to. But we didn`t really meet, as scientists. He was all babbling the maharishi-babble. Never became himself. I was filled with happiness and upliftment after our meeting, but was confused. Like mothers, who always say, they love their children, but hardly cuddle them, here we get double signals from our "leaders". Repeating endless maharishi-talk doesn`t make you genuine. Hopefully, that will die out in the coming years, and John will become a leading scientist again. A real scientist, not the maharishi-marionett. I would love to sit with him and really write real scientific papers. About his own insights into consciousness. What are HIS true experiences of and during TM ? Are they any better ? Since he is brilliant, using about 15 % of his brain capacity, and an accomplished scientist. Does he transcend more clearly ? More aware of every step into the unbounded ? Writing one or two really genuine scientific papers could help him win the scientific world and through that the whole world for the idea of TM and higher consciousness. That`s what Einstein did in the beginning. Just publishing 3 very short but utter revolutionary papers. It took a decade to understand them. But that transformed science for all times. When Einstein got the Nobel-price, it was already years later, and agreed upon. So bringing the understanding of consciousness into scientific terms, that the world will understand and agree to, is still to be done and accomplished. Try this. |

9. Handling critics is the most weak point in all TMers. That`s the real reason, why they don`t get it in an european, western civilisation. But why is it, that ? Why is there this crudeness and even hate, when it comes to critics ? Just read some answers, when people got critical or even cynical about the TMers. Than the silent surface gets angry, even hate. The misunderstanding started in 1978. It was the year of invincibility. And the other side, in germany the government with the churches, started some nasty publishing against TM. And we, as TMers, never answered it. We went down like stone. Some of the critical points where for real, but most of it was just spin-doctoring the public against an amazing approach to better life and consciousness. TMers always tried to "correct the facts about TM" as a technique. But they never heard or read the critics about the foolishness of TMers and their movement. They only equated: Critic against anything = not understanding the wonderful TM-technique. The opponents mis-understood on their side: TM not answering real critic against their foolish movement = they have something to hide, and only use this to further advertise their TM-technique. This still goes on, with the TMers going down in society. So if we look, how we all where "fabricated", we easily can see, that we only where trained as "loudspeakers" for spreading the TM. Not any other thought. So when the real social dance started, we where not prepared. We really made fools of us and all of our plans and ideals. The Beatles said it beautifully in one of their songs: You can be a lover, but you are no dancer. Any idea how to react differently ? Many. A good one: Attack the attacker. De-construct his approach and question his emotional value. There you could find his cry for help. If he feels understood, he would open up and even ask for instruction. |

10. Information about the real ongoings in our mnovement are mostly rare. And most often are handed down by the opponents. Or gossip, Or speculation. Rarely facts. Our leaders choose to bath us in their promoting the next plan. Not the facts about what is really happening. When the airline industry in the 70s discussed their business, there where two different approaches to management. 1) To create the heaven for managers, and not take care for the people, the passengers. 2) To put the passengers first, create full service-delivering companies, thereby putting management into the biggest stress, trouble-shooting, problem-solving and cost-cutting-scheme. The airlines choose the latter. Unfortunately, our TM-movement is run by plan 1). When on visit in Vlodrop, I was placed into the Raja-Hall, with the maharishi at audio-link, when all where assembled. Always, when he came on the phone, his photo was projected on the screen. I silently asked my watch-dog, later Raja Emanuel, how old that photo was. And never got an answer. What is that anxiety to really inform the pure facts, against some fancy idea of keeping the face ? (see: 4.) I quickly assumed from the sometimes inaudible voice of the maharishi, that he must have been lying in bed, with a head-set on, talking to us. When in the Glasgow TM-centre in the beginning of the 90s, I sat with the local TM-teacher, Diana, and one of the leaders of the british TM-group. I asked him about maharishis health-problem, only to be shouted, that that was the des-information from the opponent side. When I told him, that I had friends and excellent sources from Dutchland directly, he changed quickly and said: "We don`t want to talk about it". Finish. When the maharishi didn`t get the approval to remove the former cloister-building, which he had bought in Vlodrop, his people tried to destroy it, saying, it was by accident and miscommunication by phone. But only the opponent brought out the photos about the real damage, it had been done to the building. This strange way of not communicating openly will dis-connect this group from the society surrounding it, keeping them in that unwanted sectarian strangeness. Only a complete sincere and open approach to the public could help win even those, who choose to never meditate at all. |

12. When the maharishi died, he got 36 lines in one column in our famous german magazine Der Spiegel, which equates with 13 lines in the on-line forum. The only other magazine was our daily, left-wing newspaper taz.de, with 50 thousand circulation, which brought a very nice article: We all should meditate more. But that was it. Other publishers only brought the news in their online-forums. Nothing in the printed magazines. Mostly, all connected him with the Beatles. Few with David Lynch. That was it. Maybe we have over-assumed the importance and impact of all of that too much ? |
